About The Zorowski (Waszczuk) Family
This site is for members of the extended Zorowski family which is comprised of five families of recent immigration to the United States. The families are:

The Waszczuks - Maciej (Michael) who immigrated from northeastern Russian-controlled Poland around 1904 and his son Stanislaw who immigrated in 1911. They settled in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Stanislaw legally changed his name to Stanley Zorowski in 1928 when he became a naturalized citizen of the U.S.

The Kozuchs - Stanislaw and Agata who immigrated from southern Austria-controlled Poland between 1905 and 1913 and also settled in the Pittsburgh area. Stanislaw came first and Agata followed bringing two children with her. After the birth of their third child, Agata took the children and returned to Poland. Stanislaw followed her and they had three more children in Poland. Stanislaw's travels are undocumented, but Agata returned with four of her six children in 1913. They had two more children after returning to the U.S. Agata and Stanislaw's only daughter (Mary) married Stanislaw Waszczuk (Stanley Zorowski).

The Crossleys - A young man, John Crossley, from County Antrim, Northern Ireland who immigrated prior to 1891 and settled in Pittsburgh.

The Steeles - A young woman, Mary Steele, from Northern Ireland who also immigrated from Northern Ireland prior to 1891, settled in Pittsburgh, and married John Crossley. They had four children.

Th Balmers - Robert and his wife Sarah Jane Craig from Northern Ireland, who settled for a time in England. Their first child was born either in Ireland or England. At least five of their children where born in England. they immigrated to America sometime between in 1888 and had three more children. They also settled in Pittsburgh.

These families came to America looking for a better life than they had at home, looking for the American Dream. Ask to be invited and come meet your Zorowski, Waszczuk, Kozuch, Crossley, Steele, and Balmer family and ancestors and feel free to contact me to provide corrections or additions. I hope you enjoy the journey into our past and present.
